DUSKHEARTH was a game created for the Ludum Dare 43 (Jam) gamejam between December 1st and December 3rd, the theme that lead to this game was: Sacrifices must be made. The game is fully playable and can be found here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/43/duskhearth!

Since we’ve entered to compete as well, we’ll know on the 28th where the game is placed.


The game is played from the perspective of a benevolent god – you. The other gods are not as kind. You get your very own little island and want them, the inhabitants, to succeed.

Each round you will get four cards and you’ll want to sacrifice the worst card. Then other gods will randomly pick a card from the remaining three and this will be going into effect for the next day on the island… Hopefully it won’t kill them all off!

You win the game by outplaying the gods: empty the deck from which they might choose cards and they will leave you and your island alone!
